| SSR (Self Supporting Run-Flat Tyre) Technology employs reinforced sidewalls that support the vehicle in the event of tyre air-pressure loss. This technology ensures that the sidewalls of the flat tyre are not crushed between the road and the wheel rim. The reinforced sidewalls of SSR tyres enagble contiued driving ater air pressure loss at reduced speed of up to 80Km/h for a maximum distance of 80km. |
 |
Benefits of SSR:
Even if the SSR tyre suffers full pressure loss, limited mobility (no sudden driving manoeuvre) is still possible at a max speed of 80km/h up to a distance of 80km. No need to stop and get out of the car in dangerous areas or situations. (eg Tunnels or on the motorway)
- No requirement in case of full tyre pressure loss to immediately change the wheel.
- No need for a spare wheel (reduced space and lower fuel consumption).
- Compatible with standard wheel rims.
SSR Technology employs reinforced sidewalls that support the vehicle in the event of air-pressure loss. This ensures that the sidewalls of the flat tyre are not crushed between the road and the wheel rim.
SSR tyres may only be fitted on vehicles that are equipped with a tyre pressure warning system.

| Air-pressure in a conventional tyre:
The tyre is destroyed after only a short distance. |
