Good Afternoon Gregor,

After some challenging testing days with the new car in the lead up to the 2010 season, we were ready for a great day at the Raceline SUPER SUNDAY event held at Parklands on the Gold Coast.  With the Parklands track being a lot tighter than where we had been testing, we were interested to see how the S15 handled it.  After the open practice session, we were confident the car was very capable at the smaller track, and were looking forward to some tight battles in the S15’s first ever competition event.

Once competition got under way, we quickly found out that the GT Radial HPYs were working extremely well. I was able to put the car right up beside the competitors when chasing and gain the valuable points needed in the heat rounds to get a spot in the finals.  After waiting to see if we’d done enough the make it, we found out we made the finals in the first competition we had competed in the S15.  We were up against the 350Z in the semi-final, and after the first battle, the judges wanted a re-run.  In the second battle a small mistake after hitting a bit of gravel on the track ended in a spin, and even with an extremely tight chase run behind the 350Z the spin was enough to put us out of the top 2 and into the battle for 3rd or 4th.  After a really strong chase and lead run, we earned ourselves 3rd place, a great result in the first competition in that car and with the GT Radials.

The 3rd place from our first event for the season has us looking forward to a great season, and with the speed the HPY showed on the smaller track, we’ll be looking to stay at the top for the rest of the season.

Thanks again for your support.

Regards,

Joshua Boettcher
